The Old Arden Tree

Pausing by a tree and flicking his tail, he kept still and silent, feeling hunted. The breeze shifted his coat, which caused pain on impact with the open wounds.

I scented the air, my nose twitching, i turned to look back. seeing nothing i continued wandering. I came to a fallen tree and leaped up on the log.

I felt cold for some reason, despite the warm weather. I jumped down and walked under the log and sat down, keeping a weary eye out around.

Walking slowly through the woods, Hassun's head was bowed till his muzzle was inches away from the ground, hackles straight up.
This was common behavior for him right now.

I pushed up against the bark and laid down. Curling into a tight ball, finally i felt sorta warm, i tucked my nose under my tail and watched the darkening forest.

Eyes flickering to Scy as she passed, he kept walking deeper in the forest, his black coat blending with the shadows perfectly.
Without him knowing, Hassun passed the bush Pure was at and even passed Claw also, unaware.

I saw a shadow and smelled Hassun as he passed 'wonder where hes going..' i thought but stayed curled up.

I sensed a change in the air and lifted my head, suddenly becoming wary and tense. I slowly stood to my paws and walked out of the fallen log.

Hassun froze at the sound of bushes being moved. Lowering himself till his chest touched the groun, he kept silent and pricked his ears. A deep, rumbling growl began to form in his throat.
