The Old Arden Tree

"Hm.." I look at a wound on my shoulder. "My wounds are healing... Luckily I have a fast healing attribute."

Hassun woke with a jolt, then flinched and snarled when he felt a sleeping figure by him.
' It's just Claw.. ' He thought calmly, standing with stiff legs. The wounds on his neck, chest, and other areas were partly healed, outlined with dry blood.

I jumped up frightened and looked at Hassun then relaxed slightly. I stepped away and sat back down.

" What... " He shook out his coat painfully then sat down, ears flattened against his skull.

I shook my coat
"hi Hassun. Srry.." i said and looked him over

" For? " He glanced at her then lifed his muzzle to sniff the breeze. Keeping away from Pure was the only thing he wanted to do today.

I tilted my head
"well...i startled you correct?" she asked and got up and looked around the forest area

He chuckled, shaking his head and licking one of his wounds.
" I'm going to be startled alot today...Seems like yesterday was a dream. Did Pure really attack me, and you and some others stopped him? I wonder what Blaze has to say about this... "

I shrugged and bent my head to the ground, sniffing
"Pure...was gonna kill you, yet he couldnt help himself..but i had to protect you instead of watching" she said softly.

He flinched again and recoiled his head back. Hassun felt weak, a pup, for allowing Pure to almost claim his life.
" Thank you, I owe my life to you and the other two who risked theirs as well."

My right ear twitched, I flicked my tail
"I guess..." I said. My stomach growled loudly i flattened my ears slightly at the random moment

Chuckling again, he wagged his tail lightly at her.
" I would hunt with you but..." He nodded his muzzle down at his wounds and sighed.

I smiled and swished my tail.
"one sec" she said briskly and trotted of with my nose to the ground. I found a familiar herb and picked it, carrying it back "i remember this herb to stop infection and to help heal....though i dont remember what its called" she chuckled and set them in front of him.

Hassun carefully picked up the herb between his teeth and ate it, twitching an ear while he finished.
" Thanks. How about a rabbit or two? " He stood, sniffing the ground and the air.

I glanced around the area before replying. I wagged my tail
"sure!" i smiled

Hassun began to trot, limping a bit now and then. The scent of a pair of rabbits were strong around an open area, surrounded by rocks.
" Looks like the tables have turned...A rabbit hole. " He whispered, lowering himself behind the rocks.

I followed him silently and crept beside him behind the rocks, smelling the strong scent of rabbits.
"oh two! one for you and me" she whispered

He swished his tail side to side, flexing his shoulders to check his current strength. Just enough to get a rabbit.
Leaping over the rocks, he laned and sprinted after the pair. Claw's rabbit bolted in her direction due to Hassun's legs blocking an escape.
Spinning in the dirt, he snapped his jaws on the yearling rabbit, making a clean kill.

I braced myself and stayed hiding, as the rabbit came near and leaped out and revealed myself and bite into its neck, killing it quickly. stood up with the rabbit dangling from my jaws and wagged my tail
"vat wath fun!" my voice muffled from it.
