The Old Arden Tree

I eyed the gray wolf who spoke and shuffled my paws. "Well....well....um...I am not entirely sure....I just felt...well....um....drawn here." I stammered and finished.

" do u want to join?" i asked

I saw the silver wolf ask the same question. I looked around. "It's getting...chilly out..." I said looking around.

I flicked my eyes and ears towards the brown wolf who spoke and shuffled my weight onto one leg. "Um...well...." I said eying my paws. "Kind of I guess." I said quietly.

I wagged my tail slightly
"im sure Blaze will except you" i said reassuringly

"Hmm...But our Alphas have been no where in sight...Lately."

I perked my ears at the word Blaze and stood up. "The Blazing Sun? This is the Blazing Flame Pack?" I asked and shot a narrowed glance at the gray wolf but then turned my eyes on the other two, awaiting an answer.

I nodded. "Yes, yes!" I said excitedly.

"yes...but Blaze hasnt been around lately" i said quietly.

The strong sunlight and a new scent woke Hassun with a growl.
' It's that male again.. ' he thought while shooting through the woods, ignoring his knotted coat. It was time to figure out what was going on...
Slowing down to a walk, Hassun's eyes flickered at Claw, Haru, and the new male. Keeping hidden and silent, he listened.

I nodded slowly and sat down with a the lightest thump and murmured to myself then spoke;

"I knew Blaze once..."
I said slowly.

"But that seemed like it was a while ago...no no...that was when I was at least 5 months I think...yes."

I finished.

"He came and visited my birth pack, don't know why though."

I shrugged.

"Don't remember much." I said after.

I watched the wolf carefully, listening to him.

I nodded. "Interesting"

' Then why are you here now? ' He thought to himself, sitting down to study the wolf more.

"Maybe he was my fathers nephew, or brother or uncle.." I said and yawned. "I guess I will stick around for a bit...until he comes." I said slowly and leaped up to some higher rocks and laid down.

I sighed. "What if...He doesn't come. Is he dead? Is he on a mission?"

I nodded and turned away, and sniffed the grass bordly.

Lifting one of his large black paws, he placed it carefully in front of the other, walking around the scene without noise.

I flicked an ear and laid my head down on my paws, but slightly between them. The wind ruffled my ashy gray coat and I sighed. "Knowing Blaze....I don't think he would be exactly killed easily." I said again, but slowly. I perked my ears and lifted my head, allowing myself to grin. "As I said, he isn't easy to kill." I said as Blaze slowly and carefully stepped out of the trees.

Hassun didn't even have the chance to react to the new wolf's words.
He snapped his head upward to watch, swishing his tail madly.
" I knew this wolf wasn't just a loner " He said to himself in a whisper.

I stood up and perked my ears. "Hello Blaze." I said him and he smiled lightly. "Hello Silence, nice to see you again." He said dropping a large hunk of meat.

"Sorry for not telling you pack, I went and hunted for some game, brought some back, not very successful." He said.


I looked at the meat, but knew that it was for the pack. Blaze smiled, "You remind me of your mother, nothing of your father though..." He said and I flinched at the mention of my father. "Yes...he caused...well much trouble." I said, barely a whisper. "You guys will know him..." I said and straightened up. "I am Silence, the son of Distant..." I said, saying my mothers name and hesitating, saying my fathers name. "And Snow Blaze...." I said softly frowning. "The wolf of trouble, pain and madness." I said. "Snow Blaze, well he actually went mad one time, then he became a loner....there is much to know of my father." I smiled grimly, "I am nothing of my father, he has changed and, after well, after Blaze saved me from him....and I more like Distant, my mother." I smiled again and looked at my paws, I leaped up the rocks and laid in the bushes, my muzzle and eyes visible.
