The Old Arden Tree

I turned my head to look at Claw and smiled, wagging my tail. "Hello Claw."

I looked at Shattered then back at Blaze
"he has wanted to join for a few days" i said.

"Welcome then." I said nodding. "yeah, I was hunting, the game ran pretty far." I said and yawned. "Well I am going to sleep." I said and went over to the Arden Tree, I looked at Silence as he slept on a rock and laid down, laying my head down on my paws and falling asleep.

I padded farther away, by the trees and laid down, falling alseep.

I woke drowsily, lifting my head i see scy
"hey" i greeted yawned, not getting up.

"yep" i yawned again "just a bit tired. And a new wolf named Silence is here" she answered

"yeah, im fine, its kinda night time so im tired" i said and smiled.

I nodded and laid my head back down falling asleep quickly.

The sun was slowly rising and the sky was a variety of oranges, pinks, purples and reds, it was quite beautiful. Silence slowly rose and yawned, he wasn't going to stick around to take over this pack, he didn't want to. He sighed and silently leaped down into the grass by his boulder and padded away into the forest. Before he completely disappeared, now loping and running quickly away, Blazing Sun arose and narrowed his eyes, letting a growl rise in his throat, but he sighed. Silence was not one of the bravest wolves he had met, nor was his mother. He shook his head and looked towards the sun rise. One of these days he would gather up the courage and leave, letting them decide a leader, or seek out a new one. He didn't think he deserved to lead such great wolves, and wanted them to have someone else as a leader to lead them, someone who really deserved it. Someone....not related to him. He let out a shivering breath and sat down, lifting his head in song he sang and sang;

The sun has woken,
The wolves have spoken,
The truth has spoken,
The tooth of the wolf has shown,
But all, but all, will settle,
Once the truth will tell again.

He lowered his muzzle as the howl faded and he licked his muzzle then without a sound he walked away from the Arden Tree and settled himself on his haunches on the cliff by the Arden Tree, he stared away into the Valley Beyond it, and wondered, just a bit, who would lead this pack.

Hassun woke slowly, his coal black coat shifting with the wind. The soil underneath his large paws felt odd, like a battle ground. He believed strongly that his presence wasn’t welcomed, due to the new pink scars along his neck. Pure made it clear, but the others don’t seem to mind him.
What about that new male, Silence? What makes him so special to Blaze? And why does Hassun feel so…challenged by him?
Ears pulling back, he licked his muzzle and watched the lands around him in thought.

I woke up, and felt the wind swishing through my fur. I pricked my ears and sniffed the air.

Stretching out his front legs in a bow, he yawned and flicked an ear towards the woods. The path out of this territory was almost visible, but Hassun pushed the thought away. Leaving isn’t a choice this time, he wanted to stay to see how this pack turns out.

I stood up and stretched. I raised my head and tail, facing the wind and closed my eyes, enjoying the feeling.

Catching the scent of Claw, he grunted and stood, walking in the opposite direction. Keeping away from pack mates is the first priority for him. The light thuds of his paws against the dry earth and his steady breathing kept him in harmony as he ran, memorizing his surroundings .

I walked to the river, on my way i saw a blue of black fur, and smelled Hassun. I flicked my tail and stared at the river 'i wonder if i should see if he's ok' i thought.

Every tree and bush was important to him as he slowed to a walk, smelling the sweet aroma of tree-sap from the trees and the minty leaves of bushes. The warmth of the sun caused the ground to warm the pads of his paws, and the breeze brushed his ears. All this was comforting for him as he dashed through the woods again.

I Kept walking to the river, and lapped up some.

I saw Claw and walked over to her.
