The Arden Tree

I tensed.

I sat down

Hassun woke, not knowing about the events that have happened. The breeze blew against him, pointing out scents here and there.
New wolf...Pure...Shattered...Haru....Scy....Silence...Blaze? His was the faintest, but Hassun thought maybe Blaze just went on look out.

I woke up, and felt strange. Sensing something was different and got up and scanned the area. I scented everyone but Blaze.

Hearing Claw up ahead, he stood and trotted after her, hackles up a bit.
"Hey..You sense that?" he asked, sniffing the air again.

I glanced at Hassun, then looked to the forest
"yeah.." I said with some fear in my voice.

Going stiff as a new scent hit him, he began to track it down, running up to the edge of the territory.
" Everyone's been here...But Blaze's scent leaves out, everyone else's leads back in..." He mumbled, sniffing the ground

I stopped, not wanting to follow or really find out the truth of what I knew happened. I let out a whimper and lowered my tail and head, as a wave of sadness crept on me.

Pausing by a tree, he inhaled the scent and let out a growl.
" Blaze left! " Hassun shook his head, pacing around the trees and bushes to find out more. But it was all here, Blaze really left.

I walked back through the forest, lost in thought. 'Who's gonna lead this pack now?' i asked myself, my tail trailing.

Trailing after Claw, he swished his tail and narrowed his eyes, keeping silent.
'Something about that new wolf, Silence...Something about him and Blaze...' He growled the thought away, then sighed.

I came to that same fallen tree from before and went over to it and sat down by it.
"what's gonna happen now?" i asked Hassun with sad eye's.

Hassun sat down in front of her, his golden eyes bright with focous.
"Nothing bad, I'm sure. Who ever this new Alpha will be, he will have to prove himself worthy because some wolves here are tough to control...."

"hmm" i mumbled in agreement, looking down.

" Hey, cheer up. This pack will keep strong. " Hassun wagged his tail lightly, giving her a friendly nudge.

I looked up at him and nodded "yes...i guess your right" i said and made a slight smile.

Pricking his ears and turning his muzzle, he let out a short growl.
" By all the scent trails, Pure is upset because his smell leads out and back into the territory. Also, we have a new member around these woods.. Alot has happened in one day. " He sighed, wishing he was there to know everything.

I pricked my ears
"whos the new memeber?" i asked.

" No idea...Give me a second." Hassun stood, sniffing the soil under his paws and the weeds, stopping by a tree. Taking a long whiff, his hackles raised along with his lips pulling back. Walking back to Claw, he sat down.
" I must be mistaken or something...This new wolf has the blood of my father." He growled, glancing around.

"wha...? So you know the wolf?" i asked a bit surprised.

His head tilted, but he kept a calm voice.
" Impossible, my whole pack died when I was a yearling. So I must be mistaken, since this new wolf has younger blood then mine.. "

"oh....?" I barked a flicked my tail.

Stretching and sitting down, he yawned and twitched an ear.
